The subject seems simple and always the same: Achim Lippoth photographs children: children at dance school, in their room, playing at sports, in costumes. But the presentation and the expression of the little portraitees make the viewer take a closer look: instead of childlike exuberance and vitality, we encounter faces and bodily postures at rest in themselves and sometimes seeming very adult. Lippoth leaves nothing to chance; the artificiality of the scenery seems filled with perfectly composed calm, but at the same time with an explosive power that must detonate in the next second. And precisely this is characteristic of his stagings. Achim Lippoth can already look back on numerous awards, most recently together with Loretta Lux as Professional Photographer of the Year 2005 in the category People. This photo book presents Lippoth's works to a broader audience for the first time. Available as signed book in limited edition.
