'This World of Dew' is a soliloquy on loss and remembrance — a young child’s yearning for the mountains and a photographer’s search for that child, whose nameless drawing book he found abandoned in a hospice. This is a story about that journey.
"A few years ago, I was commisioned to photograph a hospital in Jaipur. The institution had completed four decades and its trustees wanted to make a book that commemorated its legacy. The hospital housed a hospice known as Avedna Ashram, which I often visited to make photographs. On one such visit, I found a book with drawings of mountains on a bookshelf. It had no name. I decided to hold on to it." Chandan Gomes
