This new book (published June, 2010) brings together work Miyako Ishiuchi shot in and around Tokyo Bay in the early 80s, on color slide film. The work was shot as part of a that was published intermittently over two years in the influential Camera Mainichi journal.

Says Ishiuchi of the work: "This [was a] series that had basically dropped out of my consciousness....The reason for that was because I did not work on the photos on my own in the darkroom. When they are not printed yourself, the further away they are from your hands, the weaker their presense and sense of reality."
