René Burri: One World. Fotografien Und Collagen 1950-1983
This retrospective survey of the career of René Burri is the third volume in the series "Schweitzer Photographie." As a Magnum photographer since the mid-1950s, Burri has produced portfolios on the Germans, the Gaucho, Le Corbusier, Japan, Jerusalem, China, and Chicago. His assignments have taken him all over the world, covering war and peace, commercial portraiture and landscape. The evolution of his vision has been consistent, beginning with strong but straight photojournalism and culminating in disturbing juxtapositions of his collages with recent color work.
