As an extension of the exhibition Antibodies Antoine d' Agata held at BAL ( January-March 2013 ) , the coordinators of Acts , a political presence , in collaboration with the photographer , wanted to continue the intention exposure was to assert the political dimension - too often taken into consideration - the photographic Antoine d' Agata work by incorporating and expanding in various scriptural and graphic forms , making him leave the jurisdictions in which it has often been assigned.
Acts political presence is a book organized into five parts is as a plural space offered to the reader - viewer to continue to see and think the work of Antoine d' Agata , a photographer whose artistic gesture and movement life is bound in an eminently political purpose and it seems urgent to mean .
Circumstances:
The first chapter is a collection of political pamphlets and images found on the ground floor of the exhibition. The political side is thus demonstrated graphically.
Slaughter:
The second chapter between echoing the idea of the installation created on the ground floor of the exhibition with the voices of women .
Agony:
The third chapter shows images from photographer in connection with the installation at the basement of the exhibition.
Splash:
The fourth chapter contains some of the interventions that took place during the exhibition and appealed to other authors in distinct fields ( philosophy , literature, photography , anthropology, cinema , aesthetics) . The plurality of approaches convened opens up a range of looks that allows the reader to browse the authors proposed the different lines and build its own look.
Installation:
The fifth chapter describes the bias of the exposure, then attempt to give form , provisional , make a truth , install the visitor in a lifetime experience of a work of a world . Immersion, submersion , engulfment .
Acts, a political presence Antoine d'Agata has received support from Cnap ( editorial assistance ), the Olympus Corporation and the Open University in the City of Subject .
