Paolo Gasparini was born in Gorizia, Italy in 1934 and nationalised as Venezuelan in 1954. As a photographer, his work portraying the cultural tensions andcontradictions of the American continent is one of themost compelling.
The exhibition and catalogue that is presented by MAPFRE Foundation propose a journey of six decades ofhis photographic career where an itinerary through thelandscape of the ever-changing and diverse cities like Caracas, La Habana, Sao Paulo or Mexico echo Munich, Paris, Madrid or London.
