Zhang An is a young photographer based in Nanjing, China.
"Thundershower" is his first book based on his personal experience. Couple years ago, he received three letters from his penpal through internet. It was love letter, and also farewell. He had no idea how to respond to it.
"When I press the shutter, her questions come to mind, 'Do you know what beauty is?', 'Why do you take photographs?'.These questions are too heavy for me. I have no answers. This book also has no answers. But at the very least, I hope it's a reply. "
