Inspired by Matsuo Bashô (1644 - 1694), a Japanese poet who kept notes in a diary based on his journey through Japan, Klavdij Sluban recreates and illustrates the voyage photographically. It is a part of his travel round the Balkans, Russia, the Kerguelen Islands and Central America and becomes a poetic guide of time and space.
