Photographer Tina Ruisinger created an outstanding book, with fascinating portraits in word and picture. It’s homage for the masters of photography, whose photographs went down in history and influenced following generations.

Tina Ruisinger works as a photographer, artist and curator. Since the early 90’s, she has been working as an independent photographer in the areas of Reportage, Portraiture and Dance photography. Her book “Faces of Photography” featuring 50 Masters of Photography, was published in 2002 and has received wide international acclaim, and her dance book “Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker/Meg Stuart”, featuring two of the world’s most influential choreographers, was published in 2007. She has been awarded numerous prizes and grants, exhibiting in solo and collaborative shows, in Europe and abroad. She currently lives and works in Zurich and Berlin working both commissioned and on independent projects. The main emphasis of her work has always been humans: imbedded in their impermanence and mortality. Her subjects of focus are portraits, personal reportages and documentaries about the vitality and intensity of life, as well as of age and death. She uses photography, video, sound and text to strengthen the contents of her intentions.
