The text-and-image cycle erundsie is a collaboration between the photographer Anne Schubert and the designer Roman Mares. The starting point for each motif within the series is a short, lyrical text that symbolizes the closeness between two people. The absurd simultaneity of thoughts and actions becomes a romantic metaphor: he does what she thinks - she dreams what he knows - he says what she hopes, etc. Since 2011, the two have been looking for the right place and the right background for the respective text in mostly urban milieus. Using simple transfer and template techniques, the sentences are anchored in the selected location. The letters never completely take over their new surroundings, rather they dissolve into it. The mostly porous fonts are reminiscent of faded graffiti in public spaces - integrated and at the same time strange. With the photographic staging, words and places merge into one unit. The view always remains non-binding; more focused on intuition than fixation. It is much easier to bring text and image together digitally, but that would not be the same. Because it is precisely the unauthorized encroachment on diverse living spaces and the associated risk in implementation that give the motifs a documentary character. What remains are the real traces that act as poetic messages in their respective surroundings - over days, months and sometimes even years. erundsie is not an exclusive photo project - it is not the specific image that is at stake here, but the universal story that is hidden behind it.
