Anna Tomczak is a Florida artist specializing in a range of alternative photographic processes.  She is known for her large format Polaroid transfers of assemblages in the studio using animals, botanicals, found objects and iconic artifacts to present mythical anecdotes. 

Describes the author's friend and fellow photographer, Merry Moor Winnett, with whom she was a darkroom-mate and, together, they explored the possibilities of hand painting black-and-white photographs.
