The internet can be represented as an Iceberg: the tip is the so called Surface Web, the digital territory we know and where we surf through search engines, social networks, blogs, news websites etc. etc. The submerged part, in the amount of about its 90%, represents the so called Deep Web.

Under the surface of the internet we use everyday, an encrypted network which eludes the search engines and where is in force the total anonymity, has been developed and is still developing day after day. This is a space apparently without rules, accessible just through specific software, where everything is potentially permitted, where anything is traceable.

Among the good and the bad structures and entities this non-place can generate, a complex online business, especially about illegal products, emerges and continues to increase. If the items sold and the systems used are not conventional, the business rules are always the same: feedbacks, offers and discounts promote the sellers and the customers loyalty. Stock images or original photographs illustrate the thousands of posted advertisements, catching more or less the customers attention and making recognizable the vendors style.
