Hundred years of history

"My great-grandmotzer is 100 years old. She was born in 1902. She does not always recognize me... She has seen, felt and taken part in some of the most important changes in Bulgaria in the 20th century. She has had her children somehwere in the field, gone to wars, built a home, been a mother, then a grandmother, and then a great-grandmother. She was not a revolutionary, she was not with the Proltariat and did not welcome Democracy. She was a mother all her life. When she talks about her past, she talks about her family because that is where she finds love. At 100 she is imprisoned in a body that cannot follow her dreams and her wisdom. But I can.

This book is baout memories and the past infiltrating the present. It is a document of her small history within the big onw. I did not make this book to remember her, because I will not forget her. My sister and I are the last trae of her life. This book is my love letter to my great-grandmother" (Vesselina Nikolaeva)
